Every Inchie Monday: Texture

Hello Folks,

A toughie this week at Every Inchie Monday:  texture.  Couldn't decide what to do, so I offer you two choices.  The first is a one inch square of a very textured fabric:

And a container of texture paste.  Curry's brand is called modelling paste, but if you can read the French, it is called "Pate a Texturer".

My quilled inchie is supposed to be tactile. If you run your finger over it, you feel different textures because of the different heights and shapes of the pieces.  OK, this is stretching it.

Go around touching things this week - but don't get caught!

Every Inchie Monday: Yogurt

Hello Fellow Inchers,

For Every Inchie Monday the word is...Yogurt.  Yuch.   I can't stand yogurt.  The texture does me in every time I try and force my self to eat what I know is good for me.  I don't think I've ever had frozen Yogurt either, but I understand it is supposed to taste like ice cream?

My quilled version is a frozen Yogurt cone.  It's one of my first 3 dimensional creations:

Keep warm this week.  It's been snowing in parts of Southern Ontario.

Every Inchie Monday: Key

Hello Folks,

It's Thanksgiving today in Canada so I wish you and yours a happy Thanksgiving.

This week's word at Every Inchie Monday is key.  I love keys - for the secrets they open (and hide) and for the intricate patterns and different shapes that older keys have.

I offer first a special kind of key - a key to the Tardis (if you're not a Doctor Who fan, this will mean nothing to you).  Over the years, the key has had many different shapes. from the mundane, that looks like it might open my front door, to the exotic.  I've chosen one of the more unusual ones:

Looks a little bit like a person wearing a dress of some kind, doesn't it?  But  I assure you it is accurate.

My quilled key is of the ordinary variety:

The quilling paper is a lovely pewter grey but the camera has washed it out and made it look white.  I now have silver edged paper which is really neat, so I really should do it again.

Keep you secrets close to your heart.

Thank you for the lovely comments.  They really make my day.

Every Inchie Monday: Lumberjack

Hi Folks,

A little late again this week.

This week's word at Every Inchie Monday is lumberjack.  I was born a country girl and have always loved wearing plaid, even when it isn't in style.  So my first inchie is the iconic red and black plaid of a lumberjack.

My quilled inchie is one of the tools of the trade - an axe.

Let's all wear plaid this week!
