So the Islands (this week's word at Every Inchie Monday) I can find in HHGG are the ones which are on the planet Damogran. The spaceport where Zaphod arrives is coincidentally called Easter Island, which in "Galacticspeke...means small fat and light brown". The other important one is where the Heart of Gold spaceshp is before Zaphod steals it. (Can you tell I found my copy of HHGG?)
Well, my inchie islands have very little to do with the book! First off is an island very important to Canada: its smallest province, Prince Edward Island (where the Anne of Green Gable novels are set).
(Not an inchie - just a reference photo so you can see where P.E.I. is and how small it is in relation to the rest of Canada)
My quilled island is your generic desert island. Have you ever played the game about what book would you want to have on a deserted island? My answer has always been a copy of the complete works of William Shakespeare.
Hope you have a good week. I'm really enjoying this year's words. What would you read on a desert island?
