Did you know I'm still afraid of the dark? A bit silly for a supposed grown up well into her second half century. It means, among other things, that I'm not very fond of being out at night, which is this week's word at Every Inchie Monday. (How's that for a segue into the topic?)
So to me, night is more of a nightmare, and that is what I chose to depict this week.
"The Nightmare before Christmas" is one of my favourite movies. I love that the whole thing is sung in rhyme. Imagine how difficult that must have been to write. Not to mention the stop motion animation. (Sorry the scan is fuzzy -- the picture was too close to the binding of my sketchbook and I couldn't get it really flat.)
My quilled inchie is that which makes the night less scary -- by supplying light.
Of course, it had to be a blue moon, because it's prettier.
Have a safe week and keep looking under your bed for those monsters that live there after dark. Personally, I sleep with a flashlight.
Love the idea of the blue moon and your little man is delightful. As a kid I was always told that the moon was made of cheese :-)

The little man is supposed to be Jack Skellington from The Nightmare before Christmas. So is the little scene.
