Every Inchie Monday: Myth


Hello Folks, 

This week's word at Every Inchie Monday is Myth.  I love mythology.  In university I took an art history course entitled 'Myth and Allegory in Italian Renaissance Art'.  I was in seventh heaven.  Best course I ever took, which unfortunately was never offered again.  lol.  Don't know why - too specific I suppose.  But it was indeed glorious studying all those wonderful paintings and how they depicted myths.

For my drawn inchie I have a couple of silly mythological dragons.  I didn't want to draw anyone killing them as always happens in mythology:











I got a little more traditional with my quilled inchie and did my best to depict Medusa, with her stunning gaze and all those snakes in her hair:








Have a week full of imagination.

    I love myths too, especially about dragons. Yours are too cute to be afraid of though :) Your quilled Medusa made me smile; another bad hair day LOL!

    Some dragons have it good - like all the ones in Game of Thrones. That sounds like a really interesting subject you did. I love studying all that from the point of view of psychology. Your dragons are too good, no one's going to touch them. I like the frames. And that quilled Medusa is the best - how clever can you get!

    Cute dragons, Kia! AND the Medusa is adorable--hope she's not looking at me! Very imaginative. I had the best art history professor and she traveled the world to give us a first-hand perspective of mostly Italian Renaissance art. We certainly studied our share of dragons.
