So the Islands (this week's word at Every Inchie Monday) I can find in HHGG are the ones which are on the planet Damogran. The spaceport where Zaphod arrives is coincidentally called Easter Island, which in "Galacticspeke...means small fat and light brown". The other important one is where the Heart of Gold spaceshp is before Zaphod steals it. (Can you tell I found my copy of HHGG?)
Well, my inchie islands have very little to do with the book! First off is an island very important to Canada: its smallest province, Prince Edward Island (where the Anne of Green Gable novels are set).
(Not an inchie - just a reference photo so you can see where P.E.I. is and how small it is in relation to the rest of Canada)
My quilled island is your generic desert island. Have you ever played the game about what book would you want to have on a deserted island? My answer has always been a copy of the complete works of William Shakespeare.
Hope you have a good week. I'm really enjoying this year's words. What would you read on a desert island?
love both inchies, in school we had to write a paper on what we would take with us if we had to move to a deserted island on another planet. lol
ReplyDeleteBoth terrific inchies and both dpecial to you and that is wonderful as well
ReplyDeleteI'm with you on the book I would take it would be amazing to be able to sit and read the whole of Shakespeare

I love that everybody has a twist on each word every week and I love both of yours. Your quilling is great - wish I could do it!
ReplyDeleteVery creative inchies! I would agree with your choice of Shakespeare's work.
ReplyDeleteGreat inches as usual.
ReplyDeleteThe world's best potatoes come from PEI and the best mussels--I can get them around here sometimes and don't pass them up when I can (how they do it, I don't know!) I'd have to heave my Bible, always a source of inspiration and reflection. Not a heavily religious person, just like reading it. Love your inchies, Kia. Have a brilliant day! Cheryl
