The theme this week at I am the Diva for challenge #181 is Water. This seemed like an ideal time to get out my Inktense pencils and create a nice watery background. I also love to draw little gardens and scenes, so, while not particularly challenging, this is what I did. I'm still working on something a little more unusual.
I used the tangles nipa, fern, angel fish, zinger, tearce, shiraz and flux. We're expecting rain here in Southern Ontario tomorrow so have a wet and wonderful week.
I decided to edit in a second, somewhat more sinister tile. Here I used fishface. squiggle, squid, suckers, msst, flux and viaduct. I used my lovely new Staedtler triplus fineliner pens - the set of 20 yummy .03 colours, and some prismacolor pencils. Watch out!
Wonderful Tile, Kia. Terrific job on the blue color. You chose great Patterns to represent the Water Theme of this weeks challenge.
ReplyDeleteFun, the first is lovely and the second is sooo fun! Love fishface!
ReplyDeleteThe second is so full of character
ReplyDeleteStrangely enough, I hadn't thought of msst as a watery tangle - duh! Love it here, and you do fishface much more neatly than I do. The colours in the first tile really grab me.
ReplyDeleteI can see you had fun with these and they are delightful.
ReplyDeleteThe tiles are beutiful :)
ReplyDeleteThe first one is really pretty and the second one is quite whimsical. Both are wonderfully done.
ReplyDeleteLove the whimsy of your second tile!
ReplyDeleteBoth are wonderful! Each of them has its own impression. Like the little fishes in the second one!
ReplyDeletethey are both wonderful, but I get a lot of delight from art with something unusual or "dangerous" in it so your emerging tentacles gave me a giggle. Fun stuff!
ReplyDeleteI like your tiles, the really represent water a lot.
ReplyDeleteYour tiles give me a lovely underwater feeling!
ReplyDeleteBoth are great!
ReplyDeleteNice tiles and so beautiful color on the first one :)
ReplyDeleteSo lovely! I especially like the second one.
ReplyDeleteGreat color on both tiles.
ReplyDeleteI love the color and the little scenes that you created. Both have such a lovely sense of whimsy to them.
ReplyDeleteBlue is one of my favorite colors... and especially the hue you used in your first tile! So beautiful! I love all the tangles you used to capture the feel of water as well... Wonderfully done!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for visiting my entry as well... You are so kind!
Beautiful tiles and wonderful colors. Nicely done.
ReplyDeleteZwei sehr hübsche Fliesen ! " Fishface " sieht so lustig aus !
