Patterns used: metal plate, copada, chainlea, a-fog, Shattuck, btl jooz, hearstrings.
Then I decided I wanted to see if I could do stripes without the outer straight line. This one needed colour to distinguish the various patterns.
Patterns used: flower vine, chainlea, luv-a, esses, snugz, string of beads, ruf-l.
I don't think this one was quite as successful. Maybe I'll try again.Happy tangling.
Your first tile looks great, it really looks three dimensional. And the second one is beautiful with the bright colors - well done :-)
ReplyDeleteBoth are very nice. The 3D effects on the first tile are absolutely great :)
ReplyDeleteThe first one is very well done and the second a lot of fun (I think).
ReplyDeleteI like how you did the shading in the first one and the color does help to keep track of the tangles in the second. They are both very nice.
ReplyDeleteBoth Tiles are great. love the shading in the first Tile, and your color work in the second. Both tiles have wonderful patterns in them. Well done, Kia.
ReplyDeleteTwo lovely tiles, and you've used some tangles that I haven't seen or used in a while - so you're inspiring too!
ReplyDeleteBoth tiles are wonderful! Especially I like the first one ... great 3D effect!
ReplyDeleteLove how you've achieved perspective with your rolls, and I disagree with you, I think your more informal coloured 'stripes' are just as effective. Linda x
ReplyDeleteG. these are both beautiful! Your shading on the top one is awesome! Thanks for visiting my blog! (sorry the comment thing is not working, but I do get your message through Google +) Have a great weekend and see you next week!! :0) Share Humanity
ReplyDeleteYou did accomplish your rounding. Looks good. I like the freer aspect of your second tile. You intertwined them well.
ReplyDeleteAbsolutly well done tiles Kia :) Love the difference between them - the shading in the first one and the artistic look in the other :)
ReplyDeleteLove the 'stripe pipe'... and you've convinced me to dig out my prismacolor pencils. Moving into fall/winter, I think we can all use a bit more color!
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely, light touch you have!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful exploration, and beautiful drawings.
ReplyDeleteYou indeed got the 3D effect you desired. And the first tile is clean and elegant. It's still amazing to me what a little tiny shading can achieve...
The second tile - I love the playfulness and the "free spirit". It nicely echos your goal of "no borders" (or "outer straight line" as you called it )
Really beautiful and 3 dimensional tile, Kia! Love it, and the fact you used tangles I've never heard of :). It inspires me to learn and try new ones!
